Description:

Six connected tables, featuring living tortoises, integrate Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math (STEAM) to investigate Turtle Island sustainability. Geology students present on the turtle-shaped Dandini Parcourse about columnar jointing and fractures in volcanic rock and triple point junctions in tectonics. Biology students display plastic versus alternative products and explain how plastics harm sea turtles. Dandini Parcourse rehabilitation participants show a turtle-shaped documentation map about renovation technology and engineering. Education students facilitate a turtle-shaped Dandini Parcourse art project. Math students present the hexagonal geometric shape in turtle shells with hexagon and magic-square activities.
