Scholarship Internship

Internship Scholarship Applications are currently closed for Spring 2014.

What: Scholarship opportunity for internship classes
  • Student must have a 2.75 GPA
  • Student must have completed 70 percent of degree credits
  • Not available for mandatory internship degree requirement
  • Scholarship award is $2,550 paid incrementally for the three-credit internship ($775 when internship starts, $775 when 100 hours are completed, $1000 when you achieve learning outcomes and complete 225 hours)
Why: To inspire more TMCC students to complete internships and to showcase talented students to local employers.
Where: Local businesses and organizations (TMCC will assist in identifying intern sites).
When: Apply between Oct. 21 and Dec. 6, 2013 for Spring 2014 Internship.

The start date for the internship is flexible. Your internship course instructor must approve your starting day and weekly schedule. You must complete the 225 hours by May 18, 2014. (75 hours of interning per credit; 3 credits = 225 hours)

Submitting an application does not guarantee approval of an internship. The maximum scholarship award is $2,550. Receiving any scholarship award may affect your current financial aid package. The TMCC Financial Aid Office will work with you to answer questions and to make any necessary changes. New interns have priority for scholarship funds. Participation of returning interns is contingent upon funding and sites available after placing new interns.
