Scheduling Information for Student Events
A student event is an activity sponsored by a sanctioned student organization or by a non-college organization whose intended audience is primarily students.
Scheduling Procedures
Please note: the following procedures are intended for use of TMCC facilities by college clubs or organizations
- A "Request to Schedule a Student Event or Activity" form must be filed with the Associate Dean of Student Support Services ten working days prior to the event.
- If the request involves a set up, a floor plan of the set up must be included at the time of the request.
- If approved, the Associate Dean's office will schedule the event with the Scheduling Office and request the appropriate set up from Facilities.
- The Associate Dean's office will place the event on the TMCC online calendar or allow the club or organization to do this at their request.
- The Associate Dean's office will send completed notification to the Scheduling Office, Facilities, the Public Information Office, the Starting Point, the Information Desk and the TMCC Police Department.
Distribution of Materials Procedure
- A "Request to Schedule a Student Event or Activity" form must be filed with the Associate Dean of Student Support Services ten working days prior to the event.
- Materials being distributed will not promote programs in direct competition with TMCC programs.
- Materials will be distributed only in authorized designated areas.
- Any tables used in the distribution of materials must be staffed at all times and a placard identifying the organization must be displayed.
- Tables may not be scheduled for periods longer than one week at a time. These tables and the distribution of materials will not obstruct or delay traffic.
- Organizations distributing materials will be asked to keep the noise at a level that does not interfere with or interrupt classroom instruction.

Liability Insurance Notice
Prior to scheduling, the organization requesting the activity must submit proof of liability insurance for the minimum amount of $1,000,000.
TMCC has a fee structure in the rental of space for the purpose of distributing material on campus. Rates will be assessed by the scheduling office.
