Part-time Faculty Support

The Academic Support Center (ASC) provides information, services and support to students, faculty and staff both during and outside standard operating hours. The ASC is responsible for managing the following:

Part-time faculty adds an important dimension to our college's staff. The "real world" skills, exceptional knowledge and diverse experiences part-time faculty bring to TMCC play a significant role in accomplishing our instructional mission.

Designed as a centralized hub, the Part-time Faculty Support Center's primary goal is to make the teaching experience at TMCC as convenient and enjoyable as possible.

Hours of Operation

The hours of operation for the part-time faculty support center are the same as the information center.

Support Services We Offer

Mail Services
Mailboxes for part-time faculty are housed in Red Mountain 315, the Meadowood Center S200 and the IGT Applied Technology Center.

Voice Mail Services
To assist faculty in communicating with students, voice mail accounts are issued in Red Mountain 315 and the Meadowood Center S200.

Key Services
Part-time faculty may request classroom keys from staff in Red Mountain 315 or the Meadowood Center S200.

Printing
Requests for printing of large jobs--more then 200 pages-- can be made in Red Mountain 315 or the Meadowood Center S200.

Work Space - Computer Stations
Open area work space with desks, phones, office equipment and computers is available for use in Red Mountain 315 on the Dandini Campus, room S200 at the Meadowood Center and room 201 at the IGT Applied Technology Center. Computers are all equipped with Microsoft Office, internet access and printer.

Student Conference Space
Private rooms will be made available for part-time faculty to conference with an individual or small group of students. Space should be reserved in Red Mountain 315 or in S200 of the Meadowood Center.

Test Scanning
A Scantron is available in Red Mountain 315 and Meadowood S200. Scantron test sheets may be obtained from your department or in the part-time faculty support center after hours.

Classroom Supplies
Basic classroom supplies are available for immediate delivery to a classroom in need.

Social Space
A break room for faculty to visit with colleagues is available in Red Mountain 315 D.

Other Services

Grants-in-Aid
The office handles the issuance of grants-in-aid to qualified part-time faculty.

Part-time Faculty Evaluations
Each semester the office distributes and maintains student evaluations of part-time faculty.

Part-time Faculty Handbook
The Part-time Faculty Handbook is available online. Hard copies are available in Red Mountain 315.

Site Coordinators
Site coordinators are available after hours to assist with academic support at the Dandini Campus, the Meadowood Center, the IGT Applied Technology Center and the High Tech Center at Redfield.
