According to the U.S. Department of Labor Statistics, 6.5 out of every 10 jobs in the United States today are "skilled," requiring more than a high school diploma but less than a bachelor's degree. The applied industrial technologies department at TMCC provides high quality technical training that prepares northern Nevada's workforce for these skilled, high-wage careers. With courses in construction, manufacturing and transportation technologies, you're sure to find the training to fit your needs and career goals.
Designed with input from local industry leaders, TMCC's associate degrees, certificates of achievement and skill-specific training programs directly meet the needs of the regional workforce. Besides learning to operate complex tools and equipment, your training will include essential skills such as interpersonal communication, critical thinking and problem solving. In northern Nevada's growing economy, a shortage of qualified workers guarantees ample employment opportunities for our graduates.
TMCC is also a wise investment for you. Completing one of our two-year degrees will cost about one-third of what a comparable program costs at the private proprietary schools. We also have a generous scholarship program and financial aid packages available. The low costs combined with small classes taught by highly qualified professionals help to ensure your success.
