Transfer Student Academic Advisement

Degree seeking transfer students with less than 60 semester credits completed at another institution are required to attend a transfer student advisement workshop. The following steps must be completed prior to signing up for the workshop.

  1. Apply for admission
  2. Have your official transcripts sent from each college or university you have attended to the admissions and records office. In order to have these transcripts evaluated, complete the degree audit report (DARS) request form. You may mail or fax the form to 775-673-7028.

    While waiting for the transcript evaluation, you can find out how your coursework from other institutions will transfer to TMCC by viewing the Transfer Articulation/Course Equivalency page.
  3. Complete a free orientation.
  4. Attend a new student advisement workshop. If you need to reschedule your advisement workshop, please call at least 24 hours in advance.
