Steps to Enroll for Non Degree-Seeking Students

We are excited that you are interested in pursuing your higher education at TMCC!

The Steps to Enroll for new non degree-seeking students were developed to help students who are not seeking a degree understand the enrollment requirements at TMCC. If you are a non-degree seeking student and want more information about how to change your educational plan to degree-seeking, please do not hesitate to contact us.

1
Apply for Admission
Complete a TMCC application for admission online and view important dates and deadlines. If you have questions, please contact the admissions and records office .
2
Submit Official College Transcripts
If you want to register for classes for which you have the prerequisite completed at another college, it is highly recommended that you submit a copy of your official college transcripts to the TMCC Admissions and Records office. Having your transcripts on file can help you obtain the necessary course permissions you will need to register for classes that require prerequisites.
3
Take a Placement Test*
New students have three options for placement testing: ACCUPLACER, ACT or SAT. Scores must be less than two years old. You can submit official copies of your ACT and/or SAT scores to the admissions and records office. TMCC offers students who have not taken the ACT or SAT the option to take the ACCUPLACER placement test. If you have any questions about the ACCUPLACER test please contact testing services.

*You may be exempt from testing if you have completed coursework at another college equivalent to ENG 101 and/or MATH 120/126, or have completed prerequisites within the last two years, or if ENG/MATH are not required for your desired coursework. If you have any questions, contact academic advisement.

If you are a student with a documented disability please contact the disability resource center.
