Degree Audit Reporting System (DARS)
What is DARS?
The Degree Audit Reporting System (DARS) is an automated report on your progress toward degree completion in your declared major. By considering TMCC work, transfer courses and courses in progress, the DARS analysis provides you with timely information on your progress toward meeting degree requirements. DARS takes the guess work out of selecting courses for future enrollment, lets you know what courses have been completed and identifies what courses still need to be taken.
The initial DARS report may be subject to change as course exceptions, waivers and substitutions are made during your time at TMCC. In addition, transfer courses will only appear after a student has requested transfer course evaluation from the admissions and records office.

The degree audit is a report of student summary information. Each audit is prepared for a specific degree and catalog year based upon your declared major. "What-if" DARS reports can also be prepared for prospective programs and catalog years. An audit is comprised of requirements. Each requirement has one or more subrequirements.
Each report shows the status of each requirement and subrequirement needed to complete the degree. Typical reports list overall requirements, general education and specific major requirements. The fulfillment of each requirement is dependent on the completion of its subrequirements. Each report also contains a summary of completeness for the entire audit. Additional criteria (total credits, GPA) may be included.
Does DARS replace advising?
No! The report is a tool to assist advisors and students in the advising process. Students are encouraged to contact an advisor for further academic and career counseling.
How do I get my DARS report?
Your DARS is available online by logging into Web-Reg.
Remember
While all efforts have been made to ensure the accuracy of the DARS report, it is your responsibility to complete all degree requirements. Your courses in progress are presented in the audit but will not satisfy any requirement until the course has been successfully completed. If there is a discrepancy between a requirement in the TMCC course catalog and a requirement in your audit, please contact your advisor.
If you have a question about the application or evaluation of transfer work, course exceptions or substitutions, please contact the admissions and records office.
Third-Party Transmittal
It is unlawful to transmit a DARS report to a third party. The DARS report is an informal TMCC document used to assist you and your advisor in charting your progress toward a specific degree. The DARS report does not replace the course catalog as an advising resource and is not an official transcript of your record.
